Our equipment is maintained to the highest standards to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience in the water.

Before renting any equipment, please read the following terms and conditions carefully.

By hiring equipment from International Surf School, you acknowledge and accept the conditions outlined below.

Equipment Rental Conditions

​

To rent equipment, guests must provide:

• A valid identification document (Passport, National ID Card, or Driver's Licence); or

• A cash deposit equivalent to the replacement value of the equipment being rented.

Rental fees must be paid in full before the equipment is collected.

All rented equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was provided, excluding normal wear and tear.

Late Returns

​

Equipment returned after the agreed rental period will be subject to additional rental charges based on the extra usage time.

​

Early Returns

​

Please note that no refunds will be issued for equipment returned before the end of the agreed rental period, regardless of the reason.

Customer Responsibility

​

The use of rented equipment is entirely at the customer's own risk and responsibility.

International Surf School's insurance does not cover:

• Damage caused to rented equipment;

• Theft or loss of rented equipment;

• Total loss of equipment;

• Injuries suffered by the customer;

• Injuries caused to third parties while using rented equipment.

 

Customers are fully responsible for the equipment throughout the rental period and for any associated costs resulting from damage, loss or misuse.

Equipment Damage & Loss Policy

What Is Considered Damage?

​

Damage includes any:

• Hole

• Crack

• Cut

• Dent

• Impact mark

• Damage to fins, fin boxes, fin plugs or leashes​

 

What Is Considered Total Loss?

​

Total loss applies when equipment is returned:

• Broken beyond repair;

• Unusable;

• Missing parts;

• Modified or altered in any way;

• Repainted or structurally changed;

• With replaced or non-original components.​

International Surf School reserves the right to update, increase or reduce rental prices at any time without prior notice.

Governing Law

​

These Rental Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and International Surf School.

They are governed by Portuguese law, and any disputes arising from equipment rental shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
